 Ladies DH1 is an 8 hour course of instruction for the first time gun owner or for the student who is looking to purchase a handgun for personal defense. The student will learn firearm safety, nomenclature and operation of their handgun (or the handguns we will provide). They will also learn the foundational techniques of stance, grip, presentation, sight alignment, trigger and recoil control. Most importantly, the student will learn how to develop the proper Mindset and Awareness needed for personal defense.

Additional Course Content will Include:  

- Loading, unloading and reloading

- Precision versus reaction shooting drills

- Handgun/flashlight techniques

- 360° awareness

- Safe movement with a handgun

 - Proper communication skills

- Legal law update and use of force options

- Safe handgun storage

Equipment Needed: 

- Cleaned and oiled handgun (pistol or revolver)

- 2 magazines for the pistol, or 2 speed loaders for the revolver

- 100 rounds of ammunition

- Eye/ear protection

Note: We will provide all equipment listed, on request.

Cost:

$145 tuition/range fee per student - student provides own equipment

or

$160 tuition/range fee per student - all equipment is provided

Ladies DH2 is for the student who has experience with the basic handgun foundation (stance, grip, presentation, sight alignment, trigger control), and wants to advance to the next evolution of defensive handgun. 

Course Content will Include:  

- Presenting the handgun from a holster

- Recognizing malfunctions / immediate action drills

- Multiple target engagement

- Precision versus reaction shooting drills

- Proper communication and command drills

- Handgun / flashlight techniques

- Proper use of cover, inside and outside the home

Equipment Needed: 

- Cleaned and oiled handgun (pistol or revolver)

- 2 magazines for the pistol, or 2 speed loaders for the revolver

- A  suitable holster for the handgun. 

Outside the waistband (OWB) or paddle holster is recommended.

- 100 rounds of ammunition

- Eye/ear protection

- A pant belt is needed to secure the holster

Note: Flashlights will be provided for course use only

Prerequisite:

(Intro) Handgun, Ladies DH1 or equivalent basic handgun training.
