 Introduction to (Basic Handgun) is an 8 hour course of instruction for the first time gun owner or for the student who is looking to purchase a handgun for personal defense. 

The student will learn the nomenclature and operation of their handgun, as well as the foundational techniques of: stance, grip, presentation, sight alignment and trigger control. 

Course Content will Include: 

- Loading, unloading and reloading

- Rules of firearm safety

- Proper mindset and awareness

- Responsibilities of handgun ownership, including safe storage

Equipment Needed: 

- Cleaned and oiled handgun (pistol or revolver)

- 50 rounds of training ammo

- Eye/ear protection

Note: We will provide all the above listed equipment. 

Cost:

$125 tuition per student,

plus $20 range entrance fee.

Defensive Handgun is for the student who has experience with the basic handgun foundation (stance, grip, presentation, sight alignment, trigger control), and wants to move to the next evolution: defensive handgun. 

 Course Content will Include:  

- Presenting the handgun from a holster

- Recognizing malfunctions / immediate action drills

- Multiple target engagement

- Precision versus reaction shooting

- Proper communication and command drills

- Handgun / flashlight techniques

- Proper use of cover, inside and outside the home

Equipment Needed: 

- Cleaned and oiled pistol or revolver

- 2 magazines for the pistol, or 2 speed loaders for the revolver

- A  suitable holster for the handgun, outside the waistband or paddle holster 

is recommended.

- 100 rounds of ammunition

- Eye/ear protection

- A pant belt is needed to secure the holster

Note: Flashlights will be provided for course use only

Prerequisite:

Intro to (Basic Handgun) or equivalent basic handgun training.

Cost:

$125 tuition per student,

plus $20 range entrance fee. 

Tactical Handgun refines existing skills, provides new skill sets, and increases proficiency, accuracy and safe movement with your chosen handgun. The student will learn how to balance speed and accuracy in this next step of defensive handgun training. 

 Course Content will Include:  

- Refining foundational skills with your chosen handgun/holster

- Varied distance shooting

- Multiple target engagement at speed

- Failure and malfunction drills at speed

- One handed shooting techniques (strong and support hand)

- Controlled and close quarter movement with a handgun

Equipment Needed: 

- Cleaned and oiled handgun

- 2 magazines or 2 speed loaders for the handgun

- 100 rounds of ammo

- A suitable holster for your handgun. Outside the waistband or paddle holster is preferred

- Eye/ear protection

- A pant belt is needed to secure the holster

- An EDC flashlight is needed (we will provide some, on request)

Prerequisite:

Defensive Handgun or an equivalent class of instruction
