Shotgun Courses

 The Level 1 Shotgun Course is a basic course designed for students who are considering this weapon for personal defense.  This course is for the new shotgun owner or the shooter with limited experience.  Course content will include shotgun types, ammo selection and marksmanship skills.

 Course Content will Include:  

- Shotgun for personal defense

- Shotgun types and setup

- Ammo selection

- Mounting techniques

- Patterning

- Loading and unloading

- Accuracy drills

- Tactical reloading and change out drills

- Safe home storage

- Tactical mindset

Equipment Needed:

- Cleaned and oiled shotgun

- Eye and ear protection

- Suitable hat

- 75 rounds of bird-shot

- 30 rounds 00buckshot 

- 10 rounds rifled slugs

 Cost:

$125 tuition per student,

plus $20 range entrance fee.  

 The Level 2 Shotgun Course is for shooters who have completed a basic shotgun course and wish to increase their skills and tactics with the defensive shotgun.

 Course Content will Include:  

- Review of basics
- Positional shooting techniques
- Shooting on the move
- Multiple target shooting
- Varied distance shooting
- Entry and search techniques with the shotgun
- Low light training with the shotgun

Equipment Needed:

- Cleaned and oiled shotgun
- Eye and ear protection
- Suitable hat
- 150 rounds of bird-shot
- 50 rounds buckshot
- 20 rounds rifled slugs

 Cost:

$125 tuition per student,

plus $20 range entrance fee.
